July 26, 2010angeline_rtc8113
Our Division D Club Officers’ Training 1 was a Success because of U. Thank U all for your presence. Your Area Governors will be updating you on the attendance of each individual clubs and will advise accordingly for those clubs who have not met the min 4 requirements.
For those who have attended I hope that you have indeed ‘LISTEN’ and bring back what you have learned to your club. Remember the 4 basic principles:
- Keep it Simple- Our Basic Training Program presents the fundamental principles of public speaking.
- Toastmasters is a ‘do-it-yourself’ activity.
- Toastmasters is based on the belief of the individual- and his ability to improve himself.
- Never forget we learn in ‘moments of enjoyment.’ Fellowship is important in TM. Your members stay in your clubs because they like each other and they are learning together.
Observe these 4 principles and Toastmasters will serve men for years to come.

Fantastic, Funtastic and Fruitastic 2009-2010
July 1, 2010geokcheng_quek
My message to you at the beginning of this term consisted of 3 simple words: Fantastic, Fun-tastic and Frui-tastic.
Looking back, it has been a fantastic year that was fun and fruitful. The DCP results that I have been reporting speak fruitful volumes for themselves. The remarkable achievements are the results of the fruits of our labour. It is the collective effort of the club members, the club officers, the Area Governors and the Division D Council members with the support of the district. My heart-felt thanks to everyone for your relentless support in the various educational and leadership programmes – COTs, Area and Division Contests, Talk by Dr Catherine Lim and Achievers’ Day.
The quantitative achievements are measurable but importantly the qualitative experience is simply priceless. How do you measure those moments when CPs and toastmasters share with you their trials and tribulations, their joy and triumphs, their determination, courage and perseverance, and their fervent passion for the toastmasters movement? How do you not, but, feel a sense of pride when strong teams constantly raise the bar to challenge themselves, the altruistic teams that contribute unconditionally and the indomitable spirit of the dark horses that never give up but persevere triumphantly to the very end? These are memorable moments that will be etched on the milestones of my toastmasters journey.
The world is a stage and everyone has a part to play – the clock is ticking and in minutes the curtain falls for the last Act of the “Fantastic, Funtastic and Fruitastic 2009-2010 term”. Soon the curtain will rise again for the next Act and the journey continues….
It’s been an honour and privilege to serve as your Division Governor.
Yours in toastmastership
Division D Governor, 2009-10

In-coming Division D Governor and Club Officers List
June 3, 2010geokcheng_quek
It is my pleasure to announce that at the recent District 80 AGM, Angeline Koh, DTM has been elected as the in-coming Division D Governor for the term 2010-2011 from 1 July 2010. Congratulations to DTM Angeline. I have no doubt she will raise the bar and bring Division D to greater heights. It is a double joy for her as she has just achieved her DTM.
Let’s all lend our support and cheer her on. The first small step is to submit the new club officers’ list on-line to TI as soon as your club has conducted the AGM and elect a new team of officers for the coming term. Congratulations to three clubs that have already achieved that half point. They are :-
