Merry Xmas & Warm Wishes to Division D

Dear Division D Club Officers

Greetings! It’s six months into our term. How have each and everyone of you been faring. Have you and your members been doing your projects? Club Presidents please continue with your good work and help your members to realise their educational and leadership skills which in turn will help you in your DCP goals. Remember, how do you want to be recognise when your term ends in June2011. Contact your respective Area Governors if you need help and guidance. They are always there for you. Lets together go for greatness.

I would like to to take this opportunity to welcome 2 new Clubs to our Division D.They are Charismatic Influencers TMC chartered on 14 September 2010 and The Cartusians TMC official Charter date will be 1st Jan 2010

Please note that the COT 2 will be on the 15th January 2011. All excos and members who are in interested in future leadership are welcome. Most important please have the min requirement of 4 exco members from your club to attend to give you that DCP point.We have line up exciting and enriching tentative program for you as follows :

Div D Humorous Speech & Evaluation Contests 16Oct 2010/ Apreciation to All

As the contests have come to a close last Saturday 16 Oct, I wish to thank many of you who came to support the event. Any event which is organized requires the support from fellow TM’s and I am happy that many came to attend and take part in the various roles.

In my opening address I shared my journey in Toastmasters. Fellow Toastmasters, It all started with an Interest. Cultivate the Interest and Go for it withCommitment and Right Attitude. Add a dash of PASSION and you will be on your way to achiveing what you have set out to do.

The Contestants are all winners, as Speakers, Toastmasters, and Proud Representatives of their respective clubs. I am sure they will cherish those 7 minutes or so of their valuable presentation.

New Champions in the two contests were crowned.

Toastmasters from TMCS held sway the audience and convinced the panel of 12 judges to win both categories.

We congratulate all winners and in particular Elsa Lim and Ng Cher Khim who will represent Diviion D to compete at the Dist 80 Semi-Annual Convention H&EContests on Nov 27 @ SAFRA Jurong.

We would like to also congratulate all Contestants who won all applause, recognition and appreciation from the more than 120 plus-strong audience. I am sure they will add this piece of valued personal experience in their dossier of speaking achievements.

I would like to express my appreciation to all who came to support us, District 80 Gov DTM Aziz Mustajab, LGET DTM Michael Rodrigues, IP Dist Gov DTM Edward Ma, Past ID DTM Poh Kim Siong, Past & Present District Officers, Council Members, Chief Judge ACS/CL Christopher Yeow, and his panel of Distinguished Judges, Test Speaker Kay, and all others who helped in one way or another to make this event a historic one for Division D

Special Thanks to Ong Sin Tiong for helping to secure the venue for us and DTM James Lim.so patiently manning the PA system. To the Organizing Committee, you have shine in your duties. I had peace of mind that day and need not have to worry as I saw each and everyone of you helping oneanother. Thank You so much. I have a wonderful TEAM.

I hope you did enjoy the speeches, however humorous they might be and the fellowships, as much as we presented these contests to you in the spirit of the Toastmasters.
